Aadar Multi-Investment Company Limited, incorporated under the Companies Act, 2063 and registered with the Office of the Company Registrar, Tripureshwor (Registration No. 164726/073/074) and the Inland Revenue Office, Taxpayer Service Center, New Road (PAN No. 605988185) is probably the first end-user-based crowd-funded investment initiatives of its kind in Nepal. The company was established through the collective investment of more than 550+ shareholders from the Mahaboudha area and beyond—primarily wholesalers engaged in the trade of Chinese products.
For many years, wholesalers operating in the Mahaboudha area faced increasing challenges due to limited infrastructure and support facilities, including inadequate transportation access, warehouse space, parking, open areas, security, and rising rental and logistics costs. These challenges prompted the search for a sustainable alternative business hub.
The devastating earthquake of April 25, 2015 (Baisakh 12, 2072 BS) further intensified this need, making relocation and infrastructure development a necessity rather than an option. While business associations approached the government for land allocation, the nation's focus on relief, rescue, and reconstruction efforts limited the government's ability to provide support.
In response, a group of visionary traders and investors embraced a self-reliant approach, joining forces to create a long-term solution through collective investment and collaboration.
Guided by this vision and in partnership with financial institutions, the company acquired approximately 36 ropanis of land in Balkhu, Ward No. 14 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. The land was purchased from the family of Dr. Upendra Mahato, Founding President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).
Today, Aadar Multi-Investment Company Limited is developing Aadar Trade Mall, a modern commercial complex being constructed in full compliance with prevailing laws & regulatory standards and tax obligations. The project is envisioned as a comprehensive business destination designed to support wholesale trade and create long-term value for investors, traders, and the broader business community.
